Shifts are days (7A–7P). Candidates must complete a monitor technician surveillance program (or certificate within 90 days) and may substitute 1 year of recent monitor surveillance experience. Basic understanding of cardiac monitoring is strongly desired.

Days 7A - 7P
High School Grad or Equivalent - Required
To be released from new employee orientation all Monitor Technicians must successfully complete the Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool which includes passing a basic arrhythmia exam.
Any previous health care experience can be considered. Basic understanding of cardiac monitoring or EKG is strongly desired.
