Job summary

MultiCare Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, WA, is seeking a Monitor Technician to support high-quality patient care through telemetry observation and clear communication on the patient care unit. The role is 0.9 FTE with night shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will work with the Clinical Director to assist in care delivery and patient services while developing in patient monitoring and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferred.
• One (1) year of patient care experience preferred.
• One (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred.
• On the job Training Provided: Rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test (experienced techs may bypass training by competency test).

Responsibilities

• Receptionist and communications duties on the patient care unit.
• Observe telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups.
• Regularly utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with Clinical Director and charge nurse for optimal care delivery and patient services.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.92 - $29.40 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
