Job summary

MultiCare Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley seeks a Monitor Technician to monitor telemetry, communicate with care teams, and support patient services on a 0.9 FTE, 3-12 hour night shifts with rotating weekends.

You will collaborate with the Clinical Director, perform receptionist duties on the unit, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a community-focused setting.

This role provides on-the-job training and a path to growth within a respected healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Completion of an approved Health Unit Coordinator vocational training course and basic arrhythmia course preferred.
• One (1) year of patient care experience preferred.
• One (1) year equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred.
• On the job Training Provided: rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency test.

Responsibilities

• Observe telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups
• You will regularly utilize your independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills

Position Summary

The Monitor Technician is an excellent opportunity to play an essential role in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. If you are a skilled communicator and love being the focal communication source, this is the job for you.

As a Monitor Tech at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate with the Clinical Director in support of care and delivery of patient services.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.92 - $29.40 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
