Job summary

Iredell Health System in Statesville, NC seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician to provide continuous cardiac rhythm surveillance for adult patients and document observations per protocol. The role supports positive patient outcomes through accurate rhythm interpretation and timely reporting.

The position is scheduled for 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours/week). Requires a high school diploma, BLS, and either NC CNA listing or prior monitor tech experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CNA listing in North Carolina or monitor technician experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• Complete an approved EKG/dysrhythmia course within 2 weeks of hire; pass dysrhythmia test.
• Secretarial/clerical experience with knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must lift up to 30 pounds and have full range of motion for FIT test.

Job description

The Telemetry Monitor Technician provides accurate cardiac rhythm surveillance through continuous monitoring of adult telemetry patients. Follows a standard procedure for rhythm observation and documentation which contributes to positive patient outcomes for cardiac monitored patients.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (36 hours per week)

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Listing as a CNA in North Carolina or previous monitor technician experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• Successful completion of an approved EKG/dysrythmia course within the first 2 weeks of hire; must pass dysrhythmia test.
• Secretarial/clerical experience preferred with knowledge of medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must posses excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
