Job Summary And Qualifications
Performs the monitoring functions of the department. Fulfills departmental responsibilities that foster the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. Provides a supportive environment that encourages teamwork and ensures effective communication.
What you will do in this role
- Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- Promotes customer service initiatives.
- Provides continuous observation of telemetry monitors.
- Recognizes & reports any arrhythmias.
- Documents monitor tracing.
- Communicates findings to nursing staff and physicians on a regular basis.
- Maintains telemetry monitoring equipment.
- Assists in maintenance of department supplies.
- Participates in process improvement.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- High School Diploma / GED preferred
- Completion of telemetry monitoring/arrhythmia course
- Successfully passing an arrhythmia interpretation examination annually
