Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, GA is seeking a Monitor Technician for night shifts with rotating weekends in the Emergency Department. You will support clinicians by monitoring cardiac rhythms, communicating patient needs, and assisting with monitoring operations.

Qualifications

We are seeking a full-time Monitor Technician for a night shift with rotating weekends for our Emergency Department.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Monitor Technician, you will assist the nurse and/or physician in providing support to the unit as assigned and supervised by the nurse. In this important role, you will monitor surveillance and documentation of cardiac rhythms and will provide communication of patient needs to the appropriate caregiver.

What you will do in this role:

• You will observe for changes in heart rate, rhythm, or other centrally monitored parameters, reporting significant events to the nurse or Charge Nurse.
• You will admit/discharge patients from monitoring system.
• You will maintain accurate telemetry transmitter monitor log books.

What qualifications you will need:

• You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Specialty training is preferred
• Preferred prior experience in healthcare or clinical setting
