Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Monitor Tech to monitor telemetry for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, interpret rhythms, and report to licensed staff. The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 1+ year of experience; certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, interpret and report data for telemetry systems for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Interpret rhythms and report to licensed staff immediately when changes are detected.
• Document rhythm status for changes and during emergent interventions.
• Report pulse oximetry changes to licensed personnel.
• Follow procedures for application functions as directed by licensed staff.
• Maintain stock for the monitoring area.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The essential functions of the Monitor Tech position include:

• Monitor, interpret and report data for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients from telemetry monitor systems
• Interpret and recognize rhythms with the potential to alter the patient’s physiology and report to licensed staff immediately
• Document rhythm status per routine, for all changes, and upon request during emergent patient interventions
• Report changes in pulse oximetry data to appropriate licensed personnel
• Follow procedure for application functions as directed by the licensed staff
• Maintain stock supplies for monitoring area
• Maintain a safe work environment

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Certified as a Monitor Tech by a recognized program preferred
• 1+ year experience
