Job summary

Medical City Sachse, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Monitor Tech to support patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. You will perform direct and indirect nursing tasks and handle clerical duties to keep the unit running smoothly, with a focus on telemetry monitoring when assigned.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification within 30 days of start, and prior hospital experience preferred. Completion of a hospital course and rhythm test may be required.

• 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• Completion of hospital designated course and passing rhythm test.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision and perform clerical/reception duties needed for unit operations.
• Monitor patients on cardiac telemetry when assigned, under supervision of nursing staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Provides direct and indirect nursing services to the patient under the supervision of the registered nurse and performs clerical and receptionist duties necessary for productive operation of the specific patient care area. When assigned to surveillance of cardiac monitors, under the supervision of the professional nursing staff, continuously monitors patients requiring cardiac telemetry.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• 1 year hospital experience preferred
• Completion of hospital designated course. Successful pass of basic rhythms and lethal arrhythmia test
