Job summary

Medical City North Hills Hospital seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician to monitor, interpret and report data from telemetry systems, recognizing rhythms with potential impact and notifying licensed staff. You will document rhythm changes, handle reception duties, maintain equipment and supplies, and contribute to a safe patient care environment.

Qualifications include a telemetry technician certification or equivalent experience and a current BLS provider credential.

Qualifications

  • Document rhythm status for all changes and during emergent interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor telemetry data and report changes to licensed staff.
  • Interpret rhythms and respond to critical events.
  • Document rhythm status for ongoing patient care.
  • Report pulse oximetry changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and apply to patient.
  • Perform clerical and communication duties as directed by licensed staff.
  • Act as unit receptionist—answer phone and paging system.
  • Maintain stock for monitoring area and ensure a safe environment.
  • Initiate Basic Life Support when necessary.

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • Monitor, interpret and report data from telemetry monitor systems
  • Recognize rhythms with the potential to alter the patient’s physiology and report to licensed staff immediately
  • Document rhythm status per routine, for all changes and upon request during emergent patient interventions
  • Report changes in pulse oximetry data to appropriate licensed personnel
  • Follow procedure for application to patient and troubleshooting monitoring equipment
  • Perform clerical, technical and communication functions as directed by the licensed staff
  • Act as a unit receptionist, answering phone and page system
  • Maintain stock supplies for monitoring area
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Initiate Basic Life Support when necessary
What qualifications you will need:
  • Certified as telemetry technician by recognized program or the organization identified equivalent work experience
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider

Medical City North Hills is a 165+ bed hospital located in the heart of northeast Tarrant County.
