The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team whose primary role is to monitor patients connected to cardiac arrhythmia monitors. In addition, they may monitor patients with invasive arterial lines, oxygen saturation, and other non-invasive monitors. The Monitor Tech also provides clerical support to the clinical team. The monitor technician may have access to storage rooms where drugs, needles, and syringes are located as needed to perform their duties.
