Responsibilities
The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team whose primary role is to monitor patients connected to cardiac arrhythmia monitors. In addition, they also may monitor patients with invasive arterial lines, oxygen saturation, and other non-invasive monitors. Additionally, the Monitor Tech provides clerical support to the clinical team. The monitor technician may have access to the storage rooms where drugs, needles, and syringes are located as needed to perform their job duties.
