Natura Resources LLC in Abilene, TX seeks a Chemistry Technician to support chemistry operations at our Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) facility. The role involves chemical analysis of molten fluoride salts, high-temperature sample handling, and data recording under strict safety and QA standards.

You will work with ICP-MS, IGF, GC-MS, Raman, FTIR and electrochemical methods, maintain lab equipment, assist with salt purification and waste characterization, and comply with ALARA, NRC, DOE, and OSHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in radiochemistry or molten salts.
• Familiarity with inert glovebox operations and high-temperature systems.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as ICP-MS, GC-MS, Raman, FTIR.

Responsabilités

• Perform chemical analysis of molten and quenched salt samples using ICP-MS, IGF, spectroscopy and electrochemical methods.
• Prepare and handle high-temperature molten salt samples under safety protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab instrumentation and gloveboxes; calibrate equipment.
• Support corrosion testing and materials compatibility for salts contacting alloys.
• Record and report experimental data with QA compliance and detailed notebooks.
