Job summary

AlphaTech Research Corporation in American Fork, UT is seeking a chemical engineer to contribute to molten salt systems and process development, manufacturing, and engineering with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, hands-on experience with beryllium work (FLiBe/beryllium fluoride), and proficiency in ICP-MS or SEM-EDX. On-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Experience with FLiBe or beryllium, especially beryllium fluoride.
Analytical methods such as ICP-MS and SEM-EDX.
Requires full PPE including a respirator and full-body suit.
Strong safety and environmental protection focus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design and oversee the commissioning and operation of a process and facility involving beryllium salts.
Maintain the quality of the process and identify improvements.
Work closely with EHS to ensure worker safety in and around beryllium work areas.
Train technicians on analytical methods.
Assist on the production floor as needed. Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.
