Job summary

Chenega Services and Federal Solutions, LLC. seeks a Molecular Virology Research Scientist to develop medical countermeasures and conduct high-containment research (BSL-2–4, ABSL-2–4) for viral threats important to military health.

You will design studies, perform in vivo/in vitro work, and prepare reports for funders and journals. Responsibilities include animal protocol support, grant preparation, and presenting findings at scientific meetings.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Virology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or related life sciences.
• Experience planning, executing, analyzing and reporting research independently.
• Knowledge of FDA GLP, GMP, GCP, and FDA Animal Rule-related activities.
• Ability to work in BSL‑2/3/4 and ABSL‑2/3/4 environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform research to develop medical countermeasures against viral diseases using BSL-2/3/4 containment and ABSL-2/3/4 in vivo work.
• Design and oversee research projects, including animal studies and data analysis.
• Prepare animal protocols for IACUC submission and assist in grant writing.
• Conduct immunological assays (ELISA, Western Blot, flow cytometry, PRNT, IHC).
• Assist in lab readiness for inspections and support safety, biosurety, and regulatory reviews.
