Zusammenfassung

San José State University seeks a Molecular and Microbiology Biology Instructional Support Technician II to support the Microbiology Service Center and assist with lower- and upper-division microbiology/molecular biology labs. You will prepare teaching laboratories, procure reagents, maintain equipment and safety procedures, and communicate with faculty to meet instructional needs.

Under supervision, you will coordinate lab activities, train student assistants, and help translate course

Qualifikationen

Three years of instructional support or related lab experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field preferred.
Experience with maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies is desirable.

Aufgaben

Plan and coordinate semester laboratory preparation with schedules and calendars.
Procure, prepare, and aliquot laboratory supplies and reagents; manage inventories.
Operate and maintain scientific instrumentation used in microbiology and molecular biology courses.
Support daily Microbiology Service Center operations including waste handling and trainee supervision.
Maintain safety training/compliance and assist with facilities tasks as needed.
