Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Clinical Lab Trainer, Molecular I to design, deliver, and document training for new hires and current staff in a molecular laboratory. The role ensures competency through written exams, observations, and ongoing coaching within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include creating training materials, coordinating sessions, and supporting process improvements and technical transfers while maintaining records and adhering to quality policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• 1+ years of instructor-led training experience in lab or similar setting.
• 2+ years lab experience with HIPAA, GLP, GDP, and regulatory guidelines.
• Strong computer skills: Teams/Zoom, email, word processing, data/records management.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document new hire training in the department following regulatory guidelines.
• Deliver ongoing in-person and virtual training to lab staff, including retraining after errors.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions and learner completions.
• Develop and administer exams or competency evaluations and maintain training records.
• Maintain alignment with Quality Management System policies and attendance expectations.
