Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, DE, is hiring a Full-time Specimen Processing Technician for the Molecular Laboratory. Day shift, Monday–Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm.

This role supports pre- and post-analytical functions for testing specimens and requires your resume attached to the application, with prior lab experience or relevant coursework. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; ChristianaCare will not sponsor visas.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree or higher in biology, chemistry or health science, or a high school diploma with at least five years of specimen processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Process, sort, and deliver laboratory specimens and request slips.
• Print and affix identification labels to incoming patient specimens.
• Prioritize work to meet stat testing turnaround times.
• Communicate specimen priority to testing personnel.
