Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Full-time Specimen Processing Technician for the Molecular Laboratory in Wisconsin. The role covers the day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, with 2-3 holidays per year.

You will process, sort, and deliver specimens, affix labels, and prioritize stat tests to meet turnaround times. Qualifications include an associate degree or higher in biology, chemistry, or health science, or a high school diploma with five years of specimen processing experience in a

ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Full-time Specimen Processing Technician to work in the Molecular Laboratory. The work hours are Day shift, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm. This position requires 2-3 holiday. Weekends are not currently required but may change in the future.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Process, sort, and deliver laboratory specimens and request slips

• Print and properly affix identification labels to all incoming patient specimens

• Prioritize incoming work, ensuring samples for stat testing are delivered to the appropriate laboratory section in order to maintain stated turnaround times

• Communicate specimen priority to testing personnel upon delivery

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in biology, chemistry or health science required or a High School diploma with at least five years of experience working in specimen processing from similar hospital system.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
