Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Technologist Trainee for the Molecular Infectious Disease team. The role supports testing workflows and requires strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Work schedule is Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00am–4:30pm, with comprehensive training provided for new grads. The position emphasizes safe lab practices, equipment troubleshooting, and accurate reporting of results to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• 3+ months of clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing per criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results for quality patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and QC procedures.
