You will educate patients, administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform SPECT/PET imaging, and collaborate with radiologists to support accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist and PET/CT experience.
• ARRT or NMTCB CT certification; CPR and ARRT(N) or NMTCB registration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and educate patients with informed consent and safety monitoring.
• Accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals and manage materials inventory.
• Perform SPECT and PET imaging with high-quality results and preliminary reports.
• Operate imaging equipment and conduct QA to ensure safety and quality.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams on patient care.

Education Requirement

Experience

• 2 years of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and PET/CT
• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine clinical rotation during a formal education program

Licensure/Certifications

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Prepare and educate patients, ensuring informed consent and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient conditions during procedures and provide necessary care and support.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET, ensuring high-quality results. Analyze imaging data and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting regular quality assurance tests. Identify and address equipment malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Provide technical support and consultation regarding nuclear medicine procedures and findings.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry requirements. Engage in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements.
