Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection prevention policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs and completes laboratory analysis on body fluids in adherence to protocols.
• Adheres to safety/health and state/federal regulatory requirements and reports discrepancies to senior staff.
• Notifies necessary personnel of abnormal results and applies appropriate control measures.
• Maintains familiarity with procedures and interprets significance of results.
• Operates and maintains analytical equipment and performs quality checks for proper test performance.
• Resolves problems related to clinical issues, equipment or testing by initiating research.
• Keeps up-to-date with new technical developments and adapts to changes in procedures.
