Job summary

LGC’s Clinical Diagnostics Division seeks a Research Associate II, OEM/Special Projects to advance molecular diagnostic products. You will conduct routine and non-routine lab procedures to quantify and manipulate genetic material, document results, and contribute to project goals under moderate supervision.

Responsibilities include executing experiments, data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring documentation meets GLP/GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or related field with no prior experience required; OR Bachelor’s degree with relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience in Molecular Biology related activities such as DNA/RNA purification, PCR (endpoint, real-time or digital), DNA/RNA electrophoresis, and DNA/RNA processing/modifications.
• First-hand experience with aseptic techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated communication skills for internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform nucleic acid purification, gel-electrophoresis, RNA transcription, cell culture, and bacterial culture.
• Perform nucleic acid analysis (RNA/DNA integrity, real-time qPCR, digital PCR) and analyze results.
• Culture cells using aseptic techniques and downstream processing.
• Manufacture product following SOPs/work instructions; maintain GLP/GMP compliance.
• Organize projects and data using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and EtQ document control system.
