Job summary

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, L.L.C. (MDL) seeks a Quality Control Technician to join the Quality Control team in Hamilton, NJ. The role focuses on accessioning checks, data verification in the LIS, and ensuring accuracy of clinical laboratory results.

Responsibilities include analyzing PCR-based tests (Real-time PCR, conventional PCR), ELISA, IFA, and antibiotic resistance testing, while maintaining patient privacy and supporting corrective actions for discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology or related science field.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Quality control experience preferred but not required; familiarity with PCR, molecular biology or virology is a plus.
• Basic computer literacy; LIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accessioning checks for all requisitions and verifies accuracy of LIS data.
• Maintains records of discrepancies and reports for corrective action.
• Analyzes and verifies clinical laboratory results including PCR, Western blot, ELISA, IFA, and antibiotic resistance testing.
• Identifies samples requiring repeat or additional testing to ensure accuracy.
• Communicates testing issues or pending results with lab personnel.
