Job summary

Proven Recruiting in San Diego is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist I (Generalist or CGMBS) for a 1-year contract. The role is Tue–Sat, 2nd shift, starting at noon, and focuses on molecular testing and reporting results. You will perform PCR and sequencing (NGS), ensure quality control, and comply with local, state, and federal lab regulations. CA CLS Generalist or CGMBS license and 3+ years in high‑complexity labs are required; PCR/NGS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires valid CA CLS Generalist or CGMBS license.
• 3+ years in high complexity clinical labs.
• Molecular testing experience (PCR, sequencing) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens using PCR and sequencing (NGS).
• Review and report patient results.
• Conduct quality control and QA activities as needed.
• Comply with applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.
