Job summary

PinkDx is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II/III to perform high-complexity molecular testing in a CLIA-certified lab in Daly City, CA. The role supports assay implementation, validation, and workflow optimization while maintaining inspection-ready records.

Candidates should hold a California CGMBS license, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and 3–8 years of hands-on molecular diagnostics experience, including RNA sequencing and NGS workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological/physical/clinical laboratory science required.
• California CGMBS license required.
• CLS II requires 3+ years in high-complexity molecular diagnostics.
• CLS III requires 5-8 years with advanced competency.
• Experience with RNA extraction and end-to-end RNA sequencing workflows.
• Experience with PCR/qPCR, NGS sequencing, and assay validation.
• Experience in CLIA/CAP-regulated labs with QA/QC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity molecular diagnostic testing per SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot molecular instruments and automation systems.
• Prepare reagents, QC, and documentation; maintain LIMS records.
• Support assay validation, verification, and method transfer.
• Train personnel and assist in inventory and safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP requirements.
