Job summary

Maine Molecular Quality Controls, Inc. (MMQCI) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to support the manufacture of molecular controls. You will follow SOPs, work under limited supervision, and apply aseptic techniques in a regulated, ISO/cGMP environment.

The role requires biology training, attention to detail, and the ability to handle lab tasks such as routine QC and documentation. On-site work in southern coastal Maine, with opportunities to contribute to product improvements.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in Biology, Biotech or Life Sciences, or A.S with 2 years related experience.
• Experience with DNA/RNA techniques (PCR, spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis) preferred.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs quickly with attention to detail.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular biology techniques to support the manufacture of molecular controls.
• Follow aseptic techniques and cGMP guidelines.
• Operate lab equipment and BSLII hoods with care and precision.
• Accurately document results and maintain records.
• Assist with troubleshooting and process improvements as needed.
• Assist with routine lab tasks including inventory and ordering.
