Job summary

BD in Anasco, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to set up and calibrate equipment, operate packaging and form-fill-seal machinery, and monitor processes to meet design and quality specifications.

You will perform inspections, record data in device history records and JDE, provide basic tool adjustments, and train entry-level operators. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and on-site presence, with a typical 8-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Set up and calibrate equipment and machinery according to SOPs.
• Operate packaging and test equipment in the manufacturing process.
• Perform inspections and record data accurately according to specifications.
• Assist and train entry-level operators as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and on-time arrival for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment and machinery; operate various packaging and testing lines to meet design and quality specs.
• Review and follow work instructions with traceable data entry into JDE.
• Inspect machinery output for conformance with production specs using measurement devices.
• Provide basic tool setup adjustments and assist teammates as needed.
• Train and support entry-level operators on standard procedures and safety.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Set up and calibrate equipment and machinery; and operate one of a wide (at least 2) variety of equipment – housing, injection molding, form fill and seal flow tester packaging machinery, etc – in the manufacturing process of medical devices, including equipment set-up and adjustments throughout the production process to ensure appropriate settings and parameters to achieve product design and quality specifications, while maintaining a stable and effective process.

• Select and utilize the associated equipment manufacturing fixtures/aids – cutting dies, flexographicplates, or any other required fixture associated with assigned operation/task.

• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with work instructions and adherence with
  SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and enter information into
  JDE.

• Perform inspections of machinery and output to ensure the processes are being executed in
  are in compliance conformance with production specifications, including using measurement devices to ensure seal widths

• Ensure automated recording of parameters

• Troubleshoot equipment and escalat issues

• Self-inspection of work output, including making basic corrections in machine set-up and placement of tools in machines

• Act as a resource to entry level operators providing training, information, and guidance as requested and needed

• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period

Minimum Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED
