Nordson EFD is seeking an experienced Injection Mold Setter to install and prepare molds for production. You will quickly changeover molds, ensure proper equipment and materials, and perform safe tool handling and crane operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes mechanical proficiency, tool use, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards as part of a team focused on efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
• Ability to easily and comfortably use hand tools.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform job changeover by removing and storing tools and auxiliary equipment to prepare machines for next production run.
• Remove molds from the machine and set the new molds safely using overhead cranes.
• Ensure that the correct mold and materials are being used.
• Make all necessary hydraulic, water and electrical connections.
• Communicate problems, needs and important information to supervisor.
• Fill in for Press Attendant as required.
• Provide and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the mold setting process and reduce down time.
• Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment.

Reporting to the shift supervisor or Lead Process Technician, the Injection Mold Setter installs mold tools into Injection Molding
Machines and prepares them to run.
