Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking a focused technician to work in our molding department. The role involves cleaning molds, performing mold changeovers, and ensuring schedule adherence within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include following the RT Scheduler, inspecting molds, taking wear measurements, and maintaining records. Prior experience with injection molds and forklift/pallet jack is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with industrial machinery or automotive mechanics.
• Experience with injection molds preferred.
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow IQMS RT Scheduler mold requirements and update as needed.
• Green-tag readied molds and move to staging in molding department.
• Disassemble and clean molds; inspect for issues.
• Install changeover parts as required.
• Take measurements to verify wear and dimensions.
• Maintain mold tagging records.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental standards.
• Operate power tools and Ice Blaster as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

Work independently and follow the overall work schedule, as determined by the department leader. Clean molds and complete mold changeovers to meet schedule requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow & update IQMS RT Scheduler mold requirements, as determined by the planner
• Green-tag readied molds; move to staging area in molding department
• Disassemble & clean molds; inspect for problems.
• Install changeover parts, as required
• Take measurements to determine wear & proper sizes of pins, bushings, and hold dimensions
• Keep records up to date, including mold tagging system.
• Other duties as assigned
• Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment
• Use power hand tool as necessary
• Use Ice Blaster as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 years of experience working with industrial machinery and/or automotive in a mechanical aspect
• Experience working with injection molds, preferred
• Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation, preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

• Ability to read and understand micrometers and calibers, preferred
