Job summary

ThermoSafe in Beecher, IL is seeking a diligent production technician to operate molding equipment and support daily maintenance of molds. You will monitor machines, follow procedures, report issues, and help ensure quality parts while keeping work areas clean and safe.

This 1st shift role requires reading instructions, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds; overtime may be required. You will collaborate with supervisors and teammates to maximize output and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, memos and procedures.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and work with varying variables.

Responsibilities

• Follow company procedures and manufacturer recommendations for operation of equipment.
• Monitor molding machinery, molds and associated equipment; report problems.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance on molds to insure quality parts.
• Maximize output and ensure tools and equipment are in optimum working condition.
• Keep jigs, fixtures and molds clean, waxed and adjusted; report repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Suggest procedural changes when needed.
• Practice safe operation of equipment, materials and products at all times.
