ITW in Illinois seeks a seasoned Set-up Technician for injection molding operations, ensuring molding machines and peripheral equipment produce quality parts efficiently.
You will perform mold setup and adjustments, troubleshoot equipment, conduct quality checks, and maintain set-up sheets and shift records. The role requires knowledge of Wittmann robots, OSHA practices, and a flexible schedule including overtime.

Trouble shooting of processing problems and defects.
Overhead Crane, hand tools, hand and lift trucks, grinders, scales and drying equipment.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
5+ years Set-up Technician experience in plastic injection molding environment required
Complete understanding of injection molding machine(s) and auxiliary equipment operations and repair. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Good communication both written and verbal skills.
Knowledge of Wittmann robots.
Understanding of OSHA requirements (i.e. Lockout/Tagout, Forklift)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes overtime and weekends
Must have excellent near vision for accessing functionality of equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop & reach, get onto and off of molding machines, stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds. Must be able to push & pull molds w/mechanical help. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
