Job summary

BD, a global medical technology leader, is seeking a Molding Project Engineer to own molding projects and provide manufacturing support toward attainment of plant goals. The role focuses on molding leadership, project execution training, and development, with emphasis on process improvements and capital projects at the CT - Canaan facility.

You will coordinate with equipment vendors and plant functions, maintain documentation (validations, procedures, maintenance schedules), supervise engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in molding or mechanical engineering required.
• BD Validation Toolkit training and project experience or equivalent validation certification.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and vendor management.
• Experience with injection molding processing and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate molding projects, manage multiple assignments.
• Coordinate activities with equipment vendors and plant departments.
• Provide supervision to engineers and technicians on project execution, change control and installation.
• Maintain documentation including validations, molding procedures, maintenance schedules and parts lists.
• Drive cost reductions and productivity improvements; support capital projects.
