Nordson EFD, a global leader in Engineered Fluid Dispensing, is seeking an experienced molding technician to join our team in Rhode Island. You will set up molds, start up processes, and troubleshoot molding operations to ensure quality samples for First Piece Inspection.

You will identify process improvements, handle tooling and equipment issues, and assist in training others while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This role offers growth within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience working with molds (mold setting and injection mold processing) in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting injection molding processes.
• Knowledge of plastic materials and their processing characteristics.

Aufgaben

• Start up molds and adjust process parameters as needed.
• Process mold to produce samples for First Piece Inspection and troubleshoot dimensional/visual issues.
• Identify improvements to molding process for cavitation, cycle time and part containment.
• Pull and set molds for production requirements.
• Troubleshoot molding processes and adjust for quality and efficiency.
• Assist/train Process Technician I in troubleshooting molding defects.
• Identify tooling issues and submit work orders to tool room for repair
• Identify injection molding machine or auxiliary equipment issues and submit work orders to maintenance for repair
• Propose ideas to improve molding department efficiency
• Communicate problems and needs to supervisor
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental practices
• Document all procedures as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
