Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking an experienced Mold Technician to set up molds and startup/adjust molding processes in a manufacturing environment. You will work with a team to produce samples for First Piece Inspection and troubleshoot dimensional or visual issues such as flow marks and splay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; plastics injection molding training preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience with molds in manufacturing; mold setting and processing experience.
• Experience with Engel and Sumitomo machines; robot operation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up molds and startup/adjust molding processes.
• Produce samples for First Piece Inspection and troubleshoot dimensional/visual issues.
• Identify process improvements for cavitation, cycle time, and parts containment.
• Pull and set molds for production and assist training of staff.
• Document issues and collaborate with maintenance/tool room to resolve problems.
