Job summary

Silgan Dispensing is seeking a Mold Setter Technician to keep our molding operations running smoothly. You will set up, optimize, and maintain molds and related equipment, ensuring consistent quality and productivity on the production floor.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of direct hands-on mold experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and working knowledge of molding resins and maintenance programs. This role is on-site in a manufacturing environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Min of High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical School Certificate is a plus but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mold technical experience.
• Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
• 3-5 years direct hands-on work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining quality standards and efficiency.
• Setting up, optimizing, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of molds and machines in operation.
• Responding to and correcting injection molding machines which have stopped producing.
• Ability to break problems down to recognize cause and effect.

About this Role

The Mold Setter Technician position is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. Our plant help produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it’s important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. The Mold Setter Technician keeps our equipment operational by setting up, optimizing production runs and performing quality checks as needed for each machine. Here’s a list of duties that our Mold Setter Technician performs on a typical day:

• Maintaining quality standards and efficient.
• Performing duties including the setup, optimizing, cleaning, and preventative maintenance of molds and machines in operation.
• Responding to and correcting injection molding machines which have stopped producing
• Ability to break problems down to recognize cause and effect are essential to this position
• Documenting production process and related quality assurance data
• Troubleshooting and correcting quality, process, machine, and mold failures
• Performing troubleshooting of support equipment

• Other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of polypropylene, polyethylene and acetyl resins
• Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance programs
• 3-5 years direct hands‑on work experience is essential

• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Good time management and organizational skills

Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided):
