Job summary

Amcor in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep molding operations running smoothly. You will perform duties with minimal supervision, conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance, and assist all departments in solving maintenance problems.

The role requires independent work, mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and willingness to train for advancement. Starting rate is $29.75 per hour with a $1.00 night-shift differential; benefits include

• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to participate in apprenticeship or training.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Assist departments in solving maintenance problems.
• Keep shop area and molding machines neat and orderly.
• Obtain parts during emergencies and respond to machine issues promptly.
• Take control of machines when safety or damage risk arises.
