Job Summary

Operates compression and injection molding machines that mold thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics into products for world-class electronic connector use.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor transfer injection molding machines or multiple transfer molding machines.
• Handle raw materials, add and remove machine products to and from the machine bin.
• Clean and maintain molding machines daily to ensure optimal condition.
• Clean and de-flash fabricated molds.
• Observe and monitor machines and products to ensure quality conformance to customer requirements.
• Rework or sort red-tagged products according to departmental guidelines.
• Ensure the quality of produced products.
• Set up machines for production, including changing molds and loading/unloading hoppers.
• Perform machine startup and shutdown procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and operating instructions; use measuring tools daily.
• Complete and maintain daily production records.
• Adhere to all safety and health policies to protect oneself and coworkers.
• Identify hazards and report them to management or safety coordinators.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 to 3 months of experience or training.
• Passage of appropriate testing for ABC certification program.
• Physical ability to handle materials, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; frequently lift up to 10 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs., and with assistance, up to 100 lbs.

Shift

First Shift (Monday-Wednesday, 5:00am - 5:30pm)

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of English language, mechanical systems, production processes; skills in active listening, attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, time management, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
