Job Summary Operates compression and injection molding machines which mold thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics into products for world class electronic connector use. Job Responsibilities • Responsible for operating and monitoring a transfer injection molding machine or 2 transfer molding machines• Handles raw material by adding and removing machine products to and from the machine bin• Cleans and maintains molding machines on daily basis ensuring equipment remains in good condition• Cleans and de flashes fabricated molds• Constantly observes and monitors machines and products to provide quality product conformance to customer requirements.• Rework or sort any red tags in conformance with departmental guidelines.• Ensure quality of produced product• Execute setup of machines for production• Acquire skill to change machine molds.• Load and unload machine hoppers.• Performs machine startup and shutdown.• Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and operating instructions as well as utilize measuring tools daily.• Complete and maintain daily production output records.• Protect themselves and their co-workers by adhering to all company safety & health policies.• Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or safety coordinator.• Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices.• Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification.• Comply with company policies and procedures.• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: 1 to 3 months of experience or training Other: Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program. Physical: Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, may have to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 100 lbs with assistance. Shift: First Shift (M-W 5:00am - 5:30pm) Knowledge: English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
