Job summary

Silgan Dispensing's Grandview, Missouri facility is seeking a Molding Excellence Manager to own injection molding output, process control, and quality across four value streams in a 24/7 operation. The role emphasizes scientific molding, data-driven leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will establish validated process windows, lead with metrics, mentor supervisors and technicians, and ensure ISO compliance while driving cost and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• Minimum seven years of progressive injection molding experience in a high-volume, multi-cavity, multi-press environment.
• Experience in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 facilities and 24/7 operation.
• Preferred: RJG Master Molder or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce validated process windows for every mold using scientific method — rheology studies, cavity pressure, gate seal, cooling and cycle optimization.
• Own molding OEE, production output, and quality across four value streams; manage cycle time and scrap.
• Lead supervisors and process technicians; develop bench strength and 50% floor time.
• Maintain TPM and tool room interface; ensure ISO documentation and corrective actions.
• Monitor color and resin performance and manage change control.
