Job summary

Silgan is seeking a Quality Supervisor in Grandview, MO to lead quality initiatives across molding and assembly, coordinate product quality verification, testing plans, and supplier/material qualifications, and drive continuous improvement based on data.

You will supervise inspectors, technicians, and team leads, partner with other departments, maintain calibration records, perform CAPA, and use Minitab for statistical analysis to strengthen quality across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 3-5 years of related experience; plastics manufacturing experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; analytical thinking essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools and statistical software (Minitab preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participate in teams to improve processes and drive changes.
• Coordinate continuous improvement projects.
• Create and maintain quality procedures.
• Provide feedback to design processes to improve quality and reliability.
• Review in-process data and facilitate CAPA activities.
• Maintain calibration records for test and inspection equipment.
• Develop and maintain systems evaluating quality of equipment, materials, and products.
• Lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis and related activities.
• Perform CpK and Gauge R&R testing as required.
• Contribute to process control testing plans and equipment qualifications.
• Assist in reviewing product specifications and responding to customer complaints.
