Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Molder Machine Operator for our Urbana, Ohio facility on a direct hire basis. The role involves operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring mold performance, and ensuring safe, efficient production on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot, good math skills, and the reliability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of tools used by Mold Technicians.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Above-average math skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and decide quickly in time-sensitive situations.
  • Positive attitude; works independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, install, monitor, and change production molds on manufacturing lines.
  • Verify molds have completed preventative maintenance before installation.
  • Inspect molds, inserts, clamps, hydraulic lines, air lines, and related components before installation.
  • Clean production platens and prepare equipment for mold changes.
  • Monitor production equipment and respond to machine alarms to troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist with production line startups and shutdowns.
  • Perform material and color changeovers with proper line clearances.
  • Verify materials are labeled, stored, and covered properly.
  • Repair minor hydraulic issues and oil leaks as needed.
  • Assist with automation repairs, IML changeovers, and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Support production staff with packaging and material handling as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; follow GMPs and SQF requirements.

Job Duties
