Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the SEWS Components Division – Tooling Mold Maintenance in FR. The role focuses on assembling/disassembling molds, performing overhauls, and ensuring parts fit and function according to blueprints and work instructions.

Candidates will measure dimensions, troubleshoot, use surface grinders and welding equipment, and maintain a safe, clean work area while preparing tooling work orders and quality inspection reports.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Machine Tool Technology or Maintenance.
• 1-3 years of injection mold maintenance experience.
• Must possess fine motor skills for handling delicate components.
• Must possess excellent oral & written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/disassemble molds following work instructions and blueprints.
• Perform Overhauls (Preventative Maintenance); Parts fitting and shape mold components in accordance with training guidelines and understand parts mating, position, and function.
• Perform quality assurance checks on all fabricated tooling.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Prepare required documentation (i.e. tooling work orders, quality inspection reports, etc.).
• Ensure proper verbal/written communication with other departments in regard to mold activities.
• Perform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules, and housekeeping requirements and ensure other maintenance associates follow the proper guidelines, rules, and requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
