Job summary

Leviton is hiring a Mold Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production molds to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. You will support manufacturing by keeping tooling in good condition and addressing issues quickly.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, experience with mold tooling, and proficiency in machining and inspection tools. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to collaborate with engineering,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
Minimum 2 years in mold maintenance or tool and die.
Experience with injection molding, compression molding, or tooling systems.
Machining experience (CNC, milling, grinding, EDM) required or preferred.
Knowledge of hot runner systems (Husky, Mold-Masters, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on molds and tooling.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble molds and related components.
Diagnose wear, damage, misalignment, and mold defects.
Repair or replace cores, cavities, inserts, slides, ejector systems, and cooling lines.
Polish and fit mold surfaces to specified tolerances.
Troubleshoot mold-related production issues (flashing, sticking, short shots).
Maintain hot runner systems, venting, and cooling circuits.
Document maintenance activities and parts usage.
