Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Molding / Tooling Set Up Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, start up, and break down molds and perform planned maintenance in our molding facility.

Coordinate with planning, maintain mold inventories, and support tooling repairs to ensure smooth production. Ideal candidates have injection molding experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and cranes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with injection molding and mold set-ups.
• Ability to safely operate forklift and cranes/hoists.
• Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up molds per production needs in coordination with planning.
• Break down and reconfigure molds as required.
• Maintain mold inventory and ensure traceability.
• Support mold repairs with Tooling Department.
• Perform routine maintenance on tooling and components.
• Inspect mold setup for quality before handing off.
• Operate lifting equipment and move molds safely.
• Document actions using production/quality forms.
