Job summary

Mayzon is seeking a Tools Specialist to perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and repairs on injection molds, tooling, jigs, and fixtures in the Tool & Die department. The role emphasizes hands-on activities, accuracy, and safety in a production environment.

You will work closely with Tool & Die and Production teams to ensure tooling is clean, documented, and ready for production, with a proactive approach to wear, defects, and equipment adjustments.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools, machinery, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read drawings and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with machining, tooling, mold maintenance, or Tool & Die is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on molds, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Inspect tooling for wear, defects, or damage and document findings.
• Clean tooling using approved methods, including the Cold Jet cleaning system when applicable.
• Set up and operate Bridgeport mills, lathes, and surface grinders as needed.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Assist with mold repairs and support Production with equipment adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Tool & Die work area.
