Job summary

HellermannTyton is seeking a Tooling Engineer to serve as the TIGER Team's technical owner for mold and tooling investigation, trials, and permanent countermeasures. You will evaluate mold condition, wear, hot-runner performance, venting, cooling, alignment, and maintenance history to determine tooling contributions to quality issues.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing tool-related defects and implementing countermeasures.
• Ability to interpret tool drawings, tolerances and maintenance records.
• Experience with CAD and dimensional inspection is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess tooling-related factors for customer complaints and production issues.
• Inspect molds, cavities, hot-runner systems, vents, gates and cooling circuits.
• Review maintenance history and defect patterns to form hypotheses.
• Coordinate mold studies, bench inspections, and supplier support.
• Design and implement permanent tooling countermeasures.
• Verify effectiveness through trials and recurrence monitoring.
