Mold Tech II (Injection Mold Maintenance & Repair)
WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America) – Our NC facility is temperature-controlled by HVAC.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- In-House Minor Injection Mold Repair, preventative maintenance, insert change over, disassemble, clean, minor polishing and reassemble of Injection Molds.
- Handle mold safely to ensure safety of personnel, equipment, and tooling.
- Meet deadlines and efficient routing of jobs through the shop in a timely manner.
- Attend to projects/assignments as directed by Supervisor, Manager or Engineer.
- Work independently and as a team member.
- Use basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse, data entry).
- Operate a forklift and overhead hoist.
- Enter mold maintenance performed into in-house electronic computer tracking system.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Follow all safety procedures, wear PPE, attend safety meetings, report safety issues.
- Perform effectively as a team member, provide and receive feedback, treat everyone with respect.
- Take ownership of own work, accept accountability, communicate status of work/projects.
- Follow department quality standards and criteria.
- Raise concerns/issues to immediate manager.
- Understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture and core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, Service).
- Understand department KPOs and contribute to achieving goals.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work overtime as needed, maintain flexibility for schedule changes to meet business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 to 5 years experience in Injection Mold Maintenance.
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate Degree desired.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school.
- Ability to perform math functions.
- Meet CAMBRO’s Fork‑Lift Certification Requirements.
- Valid California driver’s license with not more than two moving violations in past three years.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employer cannot sponsor a visa.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting, walking, standing, bending at the neck and waist, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, twisting at neck and waist.
- Repetitive use of hands, simple grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, reaching above and below the shoulder, carrying/lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Driving cars, trucks, forklifts and other equipment.
- Working around equipment and machinery; exposure to noise, dust, gas, fumes or chemicals; working at heights.
- Use of special visual or auditory protective equipment; walking on uneven ground.
- Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement.
- Risk of exposure to biohazard such as bloodborne pathogens, sewage, hospital waste, etc.
PPE REQUIREMENTS
- Safety glasses.
- Utility gloves.
- Steel-toe slip-resistant shoes.
- Hardhat.
- Hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs).
- Face shield.
- Face covering (mask) in accordance with company policy.
