Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Tool Builder to join the team in Milford, AR. The role involves building molds for molding machines, inspecting bases, and coordinating tool repairs while following production schedules and safety standards.

You should read blueprints, have strong mechanical aptitude, and be proficient with hand tools and measurement equipment. A HS diploma or GED and 1+ year manufacturing experience are preferred.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hand tools.
• Experience with measuring tools and precision work.

Responsibilities

• Build molds for molding machines by assembling tooling components per blueprints.
• Inspect mold bases and components for quality and fit.
• Follow production schedules for molds to be built.
• Use snap gauges, calipers and other measuring tools to verify parts.
• Organize and maintain the tool storage area.
• Coordinate tool repairs with the tool shop.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of tools and mold bases.
• Operate molding machines as needed.
• Disassemble and clean molds at end of run and return components.
