Job summary

Atalys, LLC, located just outside Ottoville, OH, seeks an experienced Mold Maker to determine plans to process, fabricate, and assemble precision injection molds meeting customer expectations and cost targets.

You will work with CAD/CAM, operate CNC Mills, grinders, and EDMs, and collaborate with engineers to resolve mold issues while maintaining ISO-compliant documentation and quality. A strong background in mold construction and precision finishing is required.

Qualifications

Prefer a minimum of four (4) years of Mold Building experience; Journeyperson encouraged to apply.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, tool drawings, and fully utilize MasterCam software is required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently or on a team.
Flexibility with work schedules.
Experience with Makino and Haas CNC’s are preferred.
Surface grinding experience preferred and a good work ethic required.

Responsibilities

Plan to process, fabricate, purchase standard components, finish fit, shut off, and assemble precision injection molds.
Set up and operate CNC Mills, Surface Grinders, and EDMs.
Inspect tooling components to verify dimensional specifications.
Troubleshoot mold-related issues with engineers and designers.
Maintain documentation for new builds, dimensions, revisions, and logs.
Build new injection molds from CAD files and blueprints.
