Job summary

SnapLock Industries is seeking a skilled Injection Mold Setup Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in mold changes and setups on injection molding machines.

This role requires installing and aligning molds, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining detailed records. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams, support safety initiatives, and help write standard work instructions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Shifts Available: 2nd Shift with a $1.00 Shift Differential

Your Day to Day:

• Perform mold changes, setups, and adjustments on injection molding machines.
• Ensure molds are properly installed and aligned for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold changes and setups.
• Maintain accurate records of mold changes and machine settings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address mold-related issues and improve processes.
• Provide training and support to junior technicians and operators as needed.
• Help develop and write procedures and standardized work instructions.

What We Would Love About You:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in injection mold changing.
• Proficiency in mold setup, changeover, and adjustment procedures.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of 5S, PDCA, SMED, Kaizen and other key principles in the Toyota Production System (TPS) and continuous improvement
